VCU has a substantial network of health and wellness resources available to students.

Student Health Services

Student Health Services provides a wide scope of services for ranging from free flu vaccines, providing prescriptions at lower prices (including accepting transfers for existing prescriptions), STI/STD screenings, general physicals, and even nutritional consultations. In addition, incoming students should submit their immunization records to Student Health Services to prevent holds on their accounts.

University Counseling Services (UCS)

University Counseling Services provides comprehensive evaluation and consultation for students on best options for their mental health care. Instructions for setting appointments and utilizing walk-in services are available at the UCS website.

The Wellness Resource Center (a.k.a. The Well)

The Wellness Resource Center (a.k.a “The Well”) provides a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all students to foster a healthy campus environment. Regardless of an issue you may be facing, The Well has an open door policy during their operating hours.

Cary St. Gym

Cary St. Gym offers an open environment for all students to improve physical health. As a student you have access to the entire facility to run, swim, lift, rock climb, and play sports. In addition, they offer a myriad of programs within the areas of Wellness, Sports, Fitness, Aquatics, Outdoor Adventures and more. Additionally, you can work towards certifications (e.g. CPR, trainer, etc.) and rent equipment as well.
