Giving to the VCU School of Engineering
Each year, the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Engineering relies on the generosity of alumni, faculty, parents, corporations, foundations and other friends to help us achieve our mission — to provide a world-class engineering education to all of our students. The school offers several opportunities to give through the Annual Fund and Planned Giving programs.
What do your gifts support?
The Annual Fund helps meet the current needs of the school and offsets the operating budget of the School of Engineering Foundation. Your gifts to the Annual Fund support alumni activities, scholarships, student needs, technological improvements and faculty initiatives.
Why participate?
Some give to the Annual Fund to show their appreciation for their degree, while others enjoy giving back to benefit our current students. Contributions of all sizes are vital to the mission of the school. The power of one gift, no matter the amount, when combined with other gifts can have a great impact on the school. Strong participation in giving by alumni and friends demonstrates a continued commitment the goals of the school, while helping to enhance our national ranking.
How do I make a gift to the Annual Fund?
Give by check: The most common method of supporting the Annual Fund is by check. Please make your check payable to the VCU School of Engineering Foundation and send it to:

Give by credit card: Contributions also can be made using MasterCard, Visa or American Express. It is quick, simple, and secure. You can enter your credit card information online at http://www.givenow.vcu.edu/engineering. Please choose School of Engineering as the purpose of your gift.
Give securities: A gift of appreciated securities can be an easy and tax-wise way to support the Annual Fund. For further information on making a gift of stock, please call the Office of Treasury Services at (804) 828-6533.
Matching gifts: Each year the school receives a significant amount of matching funds from corporations affiliated with our donors. Matching gifts enable a donor to double or even triple a gift to the school. Your employer’s human resource office will have the necessary forms. You may even be able to apply for matching funds through your spouse’s employer. For more information about matching gifts, visit the VCU Foundation Web site.
When should I give to the Annual Fund?
Gifts to the Annual Fund may be made at any time during the year. Our fiscal year runs from July 1 to June 30.
