Scholarships and Financial Aid

Virginia Commonwealth University offers a variety of scholarships and financial aid to future and current students. Scholarships are typically merit based and financial aid is based on financial need. If you are interested in applying for financial aid, visit the VCU Office of Financial Aid Web site.

The School of Engineering provides a variety of merit-based scholarship opportunities to entering freshmen and continuing students. Students who meet the eligibility criteria during the admissions process are reviewed for possible university awards as well as School of Engineering awards. In most cases a scholarship application is not required.

Listed below are scholarships available to incoming freshmen:

In addition to scholarships awarded to incoming freshmen, awards also are provided by the School of Engineering to continuing students who have proven themselves to be strong academically. Some of the awards are restrictive to a certain department or have other particular restrictive application processes.
